Alberta
Alberta’s biggest summer event is the Calgary Stampede, offering 10 action-packed days of fun and entertainment. But beyond the Stampede, the province is home to a wide variety of festivals from laid-back gatherings to vibrant hubs for discovering emerging artists.

Big Valley Jamboree

Known for its camping experiences and loved by country music fans, Big Valley Jamboree is an annual RV-friendly festival that brings some of the biggest names in country music to Alberta’s stage every summer. This year’s headliners are Blake Shelton, Bailey Zimmerman, and Jason Aldean. The 3-day event features all kinds of experiences including markets, bull riding shows, a karaoke contest, and a massive dance party every night. There are 4 main camping areas on the festival grounds with standard campsites (20’ X 40’) and oversize campsites (30’ X 50’).
Blueberry Bluegrass Festival

Blueberry Bluegrass is a family-friendly music festival that is celebrating its 40th summer of bringing bluegrass to Stony Plain. Boasting the title of Canada’s largest bluegrass music festival, this year’s lineup features an array of talented artists including The Barefoot Movement, Wood Box Heros, The Slocan Ramblers, and plenty more! Reserved weekend camping has a flat rate of $120 and first-come, first-served spots are $30 a night.
Calgary Stampede

If you’re from anywhere in Western Canada—or really, anywhere in Canada—you’ve likely heard of the iconic Calgary Stampede. This 10-day celebration features everything from thrilling rodeo shows and lively attractions to a world-class music festival, with this year’s headliner being global superstar Shania Twain. While there’s no camping directly on the festival grounds, the Stampede draws RV enthusiasts from across North America thanks to the many campgrounds located just outside the city limits. It’s also a great option for those who want to experience the excitement of the Stampede without staying in the heart of the bustling city. Some campgrounds even offer shuttle services to the Stampede grounds, making access easy and convenient. Pembina River Nights

Nestled along the riverbank, Pembina River Nights is an RV-friendly festival celebrating folk, country, alternative, rock, and rockabilly music. It features two full evenings of live performances by local artists. Perfect for a weekend getaway, the festival offers a more relaxed atmosphere with smaller crowds. Camping is included with the purchase of a two-night ticket and campsites are located right by the beach. The campground also features swimming, fishing, a playground, and firewood provided by the park.
Wild Mountain Music Festival
Dates: July 18th – July 20th, 2025

The Wild Mountain Music Festival is well known for its picturesque view of the Rockies and hosts a variety of musical performances from different genres. The festival is held at Entrance Ranch and has onsite camping that is included in your weekend pass tickets. Children 12 and under are free and also get to enjoy a fabulous, designated kid zone with tons of entertainment.
British Columbia

Kaslo Jazz Music Festival

Kaslo Jazz Music Festival is a world-class music festival nestled on the West Shore of Kootenay Lake. Laketown Amphitheatre

This weekend of rock, pop, and hip-hop is one of Vancouver Island’s most popular music events. Previously known as Laketown Shakedown, the festival organizers have chosen to take on a different model this year. However, this doesn’t take away from their incredible 2025 lineup, featuring headliners Nickelback, The Glorious Sons, and Sam Roberts Band! Camping is a main feature at Laketown Ranch and each campsite includes passes for 2 guests, with the ability to purchase additional camping wristbands for up to 8 guests per site.
Midsummer Music Festival

Now the longest-running music festival in Northern BC, Midsummer is a 3-day, family-friendly celebration of music and art with diverse artists and genres. Its interactive elements and workshops give it a reputation for being a quaint, calming, and entertaining experience for all ages. The festival also features a kid’s stage and is 100% volunteer-run. On-site camping is available for $15.00 per person and there are designated areas for quiet camping, musical camping, and family camping, so choose which one fits your needs best!
Mission Folk Music Festival

Starting with humble roots in 1988, the Mission Folk Music Festival has grown into a vibrant, 3-day celebration. It features a diverse lineup of folk, Celtic, blues, and Americana artists from around the world. With 5 stages of live entertainment, workshops, a marketplace, beer garden, children’s activities, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Weekend pass holders can camp right in the heart of the festival at beautiful Fraser River Heritage Park, with sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Mission Folk Music Festival also offers a great option for RV travellers as an alternative to the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, which does not allow camping. Mission is located just 65 km from downtown Vancouver.
Sunfest Country Music Festival

This is Vancouver Island’s biggest country music festival and the headliners this year are Jordan Davis, Bailey Zimmerman, and Brothers Osborne. This is the perfect weekend getaway to enjoy some live country music, natural beauty, and camping all in one!
Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan may be known for its wide-open skies and prairie landscapes, but it also boasts a thriving summer music scene that’s not to be missed. From folk and country to indie and blues, the province offers a variety of RV-friendly festivals that celebrate local talent and global sounds alike.

Country Thunder
Dates: July 10th – 13th, 2025

Held in multiple locations across North America, this year’s headliners for Saskatchewan’s Country Thunder are Def Leppard, Bailey Zimmerman, and Jason Aldean. Experience plenty of performances and beer gardens featuring DJs and line dancing. If you’re a country music fan, this is the festival for you! Gold, silver, and family campsites are available, and all campsites measure 19’ X 40’. Campground access is for full-event ticket holders only. Additionally, campsites are primitive, but Country Thunder has facilities available including showers, septic, and freshwater services.
Dog Patch Music Festival
Dates: July 25th – 27th, 2025

Loved for its close-knit community vibe and being family-owned/operated, Dog Patch Music Festival prides itself on hosting a connected and authentic experience. The 3-day event features live country, folk, pop, and bluegrass music, with a big emphasis on hits from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Kids are welcome and ages 15 and under are free with the admission of an adult. Camping is available on the grounds of the festival and comes at no extra cost.
Gateway Festival
Dates: July 25th – 27th, 2025

This outdoor rock, folk, and country music festival draws thousands of tourists each year from surrounding areas to the festivities. The 2025 line-up includes 54-40, The Washboard Union, Limblifter, Jake Vaadeland & The Sturgeon River Boys, plus many more! Camping is available right beside the festival and is run by the Bengough Parks Board. The campground includes access to hot showers, an outdoor pool, a cook shack, and a golf course. It’s also divided into family, quiet, and party zones so festivalgoers can pick which area suits their needs best.
Napatāk Ramble
Dates: July 4th – 5th, 2025
Location: Potatoe Lake, Saskatchewan

Ready to experience some incredible Canadian talent? Napatāk Ramble is an annual festival that showcases local artists and musical acts. It also features exciting workshops and even a kids camp! This year’s headliners are Goodnight Sunrise, a Toronto-based rock band, and Rueben and The Dark, a Calgary-born artist whose music has appeared in shows like Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. Limited camping is available on the festival grounds (no hookups). For more amenities, Nut Point Campground is just 13 km north. It offers hookups and a shuttle that takes you directly to the festival.
Ness Creek Music Festival
Dates: July 17th – 20th, 2025

Spanning 4 days, the Ness Creek Music Festival features over 100 musical and artistic performances, staying true to its roots of blending art, music, and ecology. But it’s not just the indie and folk music that draws festivalgoers—there’s a wide variety of workshops and family-friendly experiences to enjoy. Highlights include forest garden tours, recycled journal making, mushroom cultivation, family yoga, a children’s songwriting workshop, and much more.
