Here is a great creative craft for the entire family! You can use these cute tin can lanterns to add some aesthetic and decoration to your campsite.
Directions
Remove labels and glue from cans. (WD-40 helps!) Fill cans with water and freeze them until ice is solid.
Using a nail and hammer pound two holes across from one another near the top of the can.
Make your design. You can choose to draw it out on the can before or freehand. Use a hammer and a nail to begin punching out your design. Once you have finished punching out your design leave the can until all the ice has melted out of it.
Use a hammer to pound the bulge on the bottom of the can down so it sits flat. This is from freezing the water in the can.
Cut a 12 inch strip of bailing wire, creating a hook at the end by curving the wire. Stick the hook through the top side holes that were made in step 3, and twist the hook to secure it.
Paint several coats over the can and the handle.
Insert tea candle, light and enjoy your tin can lanterns!
